Manyo Oval Inkstone – 4 Inch is a traditional Japanese inkstone
designed for both practical calligraphy and Kana writing.

The stone material originates from Shezhou-type inkstone stone from China,
renowned for its fine grain and smooth ink grinding qualities.
Each piece is then carefully shaped and finished by skilled inkstone artisans
in Ogatsu, Miyagi Prefecture, Japan, a region long respected for its stone craftsmanship.

With a compact and well-balanced size of 10 × 6.5 × 1.6 cm (approx. 180 g),
this inkstone is ideal for daily practice, offering excellent ink development
while remaining easy to handle and store.

The set includes a protective paulownia-style paper box,
a custom-fitted wooden case, and a soft cloth pouch,
making it suitable for both personal use and refined gifting.
